Industry and business had high expectations heading into HANNOVER MESSE 2011 – and yet, the results surpassed every prediction. More than 6,500 exhibitors from 65 countries showed some 230,000 visitors more than 5,000 technical innovations in 230,000 square meters of exhibition space. Partner Country France presented more than 240 exhibitors in around 5,000 square meters. HANNOVER MESSE 2011 was the most successful event in 10 years. What exhibitors particularly value: 90 percent of all visitors are trade professionals. Nearly one in four visitors came from abroad this year. One in every three visitors was a top executive in his or her company, a 20 percent higher rate than previously.

Satisfaction was apparent in all 13 trade shows. This year's selection: Industrial Automation, Motion, Drive & Automation, Energy, Power Plant Technology, Wind, MobiliTec, Digital Factory, ComVac, Industrial Supply, CoilTechnica, SurfaceTechnology, MicroNanoTec, Research & Technology. An excellent mood also prevailed at the 1,000 or so forums and conferences, attended by up to 30 percent more visitors
